LBS Social Music Application - MIT Mobile Experience Lab
BusBuzz is a location-based social music application for mobile use in the public buses of Istanbul. This application essentially creates a jukebox specific to each bus, where it allows BusBuzz users to discover and share music together as a shared experience. BusBuzz aims to improve bus rides by creating a fun and engaging social experience through music. It aggregates the users’ music preferences and creates a dynamic playlist. This playlist is like a jukebox, sensitive to user input and specific to each bus.
The project began as an academic case study at the MIT Mobile Experience Labs, but is now being developed and implemented in Turkey by The AVEA Innovation Labs - A Turkish Telecommunication High Tech company.
In collaboration with Karen Su.

Metropolis is a free cellular-based game that takes place on the streets of the city. In the cut and thrust of this virtual world, the goal of each player is to become the biggest property tycoon. The idea is to offer a 'mobile street game', which enables the users to check in to real locations but then take responsibility for them, just like they would in Monopoly. This application was produced for Cellcom Israel. Metropolis applies LBS mobile cross-platform technology and was designed as an application for iPhone and Android devices.

The Dream Center is an arts education program for the children of the UNESCO/Tribute 21 Fund. My competition entry drew inspiration from the participating continents' shapes and forms, when viewed on a map or globe, as well as introducing an impression of arts and crafts. During my working process I attempted to break out of any preconceptions that might limit the design. As a result the logo was initially hand-made by cutting paper sheets and spreading them all over my workspace. This led to a hand-crafted more organic approach with a contemporary feel.Branding, Graphic Design, Design2010 -
Taking place in New York, this project involved developing a new institutional identity for the opening of the Museum at Eldridge Street. The opening was the exciting culmination of a 25-year restoration project of the Eldridge Street Synagogue in the Lower East Side. This venture was part of an exchange student program at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Professional Practice class by Mindy Lang.
The 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue is a national historic landmark. The design for the Museum at Eldridge Street had to incorporate the rich culture, history and tradition throughout the various waves of Jewish immigration that flocked to the Lower East Side from Europe. Clear parallels were drawn between this and the diverse cultural communities that have settled in wider America.Branding2008
